Week One

1. "I am applying thick, colored putty to her chin..., " the sister would tearfully chant, "so that her pores will have abolutely no way to breathe..." (Vea, 50)

2. This passage is significant because it shows the sister were being nice to her sister but it also shows how well they knew their sister because they use almost the same words as Peresephone said. It meaningful  because this shows a good relationship the sisters had with each other.

3. Why do you think the sister uses the exact same words as Peresephone in chapter 1?
Do you think the sister were there togther during the good times and bad times?

  2. 1) i think they used the same words because it was part of their ritual of spending their last moments with Persephone. They used her words to act as if they were her since Persephone couldnt say them.
